What the artist is trying to say:
Scarab Beetles have long been held sacred by civilizations, beginning with the Ancient Egyptians.  Worn as amulets, scarabs ward off evil, harm, and illness to bring good fortune.  The current United States Administration presents an evil existential threat to our Canadian Sovereignty.  My scarab beetle sculpture has its Elbows Up to protect Canada from this threat.  This sculpture is a good luck talisman for Canada to remain a sovereign nation.

My sculpture was requested for a show entitled “Elbows Up” by the Lunenburg School of the Arts in Lunenburg, NS. The school is a stellar beacon of hope and creativity supporting our Canadian efforts to remain a sovereign nation.  We are Nova Scotia Local and Nova Scotia Loyal.
